January 25 – Magic Kingdom

This morning we decided to start with the Magic Kingdom.

We opted to spend some big bucks and buy Premium Lightning Passes that are sort of Skip-the-Line passes.  Once a day you can go through a special entrance at selected attractions and miss the big lines.  It saved us huge amounts of time at the parks.

We headed to the Magic Kingdom today and hit a lot of familiar attractions…

Tiki Room

Bear Country Jamboree

Pirates of the Caribbean

And It’s a Small World.  All except the Haunted Mansion being in the morning.  And all using the Lightning Passes saving us several hours of standing in line.

We also took a ride on the train and went all around the park.  The Disney World train doesn’t have the dioramas that are on the train ride in Disneyland in California.  But it was still a very good ride.

We found a spot on Main Street and sat for about an hour so that we would have good seats for the afternoon parade.  The rest was welcome as we did a lot of walking and our feet liked the break.  And, as usual, it was a wonderful parade.

That evening we also found good spots on Main Street where we had good views of the fireworks display.

In addition to the fireworks, they also light up the castle

and the buildings on Main Street, giving a wonderful lighting display.

A great day.
