There really isn’t a lot to see in Key Largo if you don’t boat, fish or dive. But Paul found a jewel. He got us tickets for a cruise of the canals on the African Queen. The real African Queen from the 1951 movie by the same name and starring Humphry Bogart and Katherine Hepburn. The boat had gone derelict at one point but was found, restored and now cruises the canals here for tourists. It was a grand cruise with a very informative captain.

And then there was this one.
There were also lots of pelicans.
After finishing the cruise we stopped for a quick look inside the Caribbean Club. This club was frequented by Humphry Bogart, Lauren Becall and others during the filming of the movie “Key Largo”. Not much to see but they did capitalize on the movie by having life-size copies of the two stars.
Then it was off to Mrs. Macs Kitchen. Also, a local icon dating from 1976. Good food.
And, of course, there was the Key Lime Pie.
Then it was back to the hotel to relax the rest of the day. We found a nearby Italian restaurant for dinner.
