We checked out this morning and headed out back up the long drive through they Keys. We stopped at Big Pine Key with the hopes of seeing the Key Deer (a subspecies of the white-tailed deer found only in the Keys).
After checking
in at the park visitors center we headed out to drive the island. The views at the end of one road.
The Blue Hole.
Cormorants
Ahinga
Vultures.
We had only one sighting of a deer. It was as we were driving down a road. The deer was grazing on the grass beside the road. By the time Paul got the car turned around the deer was gone. Technically we did see the deer but what a truncated view.
